In Central Oregon as I mentioned earlier they had a tri-county radio frequency that all agencies in the 3 county area had and monitored.
Being in dispatch is a lot like being on a live TV show. Scannerland is the most listened to radio station in America....so any flub you have with your mouth is for all to enjoy.
One country asked on the radios for a road report for our agency and our dispatcher very plainly said "sluts on the pavement" They asked if she could repeat and she said "negative"
Boy if she has not heard about that remark for 25 years....lol None of us will ever see slush on the pavement again and not laugh and remember
