One night the police got a call of a domestic in an apartment building. They said the woman was screaming but they could not tell what she was saying except “no” and they thought they heard “don’t”. They said they could hear thumbing like someone was falling or being hit.
The officers took off to the call and up the stairs they went. They could hear the thumping and someone screaming so they went as fast as they could. They arrived at the right floor and could still hear the yelling and then it quit. They listened for a minute to see what they could hear and try to figure out what apartment number it was coming from. All of a sudden they heard another scream, thumping and yelling. They found the apartment door and knocked “police, open the door”. No response and they could hear No, no, no. They knocked louder, no response.
The officers kicked the door down with guns drawn and through the door they went. The screaming intensified! Here was one lady all by herself. She was watching a Seahawks game on TV and yelling and jumping up and down. Now that is one true Seahawks game. Those police officer about scared her to death.
I always though that was kind of far fetched until the Red Socks went to the world series and our little rural home town hero Jacobi was playing and my 87 years old mom and me were just as bad, jumping out of our chairs and yelling at the top of our lungs. We are lucky we don’t’ live in an apartment building.
